Parent Information
STEP
Step is the Issaquah School District curriculum which encompasses both the High School and Beyond Plan and the Culminating Project.
Required works for STEP will be stored in a portfolio kept in the Career Center. Each year there will be a progress grade of Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory on the student’s report card.
In each grade level, students focus on one question:
Who am I?
Students will assess and analyze their interests and skills as they relate to career and college planning. They will explore careers based on their interests and develop a High School and Beyond Plan. Students will be introduced to the Career Center resources for career and college planning. Students will compile information in a resume organizer and write a Reflective Letter which will address how their present and future courses and activities will prepare them to pursue their goals.

Educational Technology
Issaquah School District launched one of the state’s first Educational Technology programs when voters made funding possible by approving a 1988 Technology Levy. Since then, subsequent levies in 1992, 1999, and 2002 have continued funding for technology’s ever-growing importance as a learning and teaching tool.
